The UNI 22 at a glance
The CBC UNI 22 is a compact, manual pipe bender designed for copper, multilayer, iron, and stainless steel pipes. Its optimum, constant bending radii prevent deformation of the bent pipe, and it can bend pipes up to 180°. The machine measures just 250 x 90 x 160 mm and weighs 8 kg without its stand.
Its aluminum body houses hardened steel gears on ball bearings. A bracket secures the UNI 22 to a workbench, a handle facilitates carrying, and an anti-rotation device returns the feed lever. The machine uses the same tooling as the CBC FLEX 22, including aluminum alloy formers with a steel hook and a radius of approximately three times the pipe diameter; twin-groove bronze counterformers for pipes ranging from 10 to 22 mm; single-groove cast iron counterformers for pipes ranging from 24 to 30 mm; and a universal roller for pipes with walls measuring 3 mm or more.

Bending capacity of the UNI 22
According to CBC, the capacity of the UNI 22 is the maximum outside diameter multiplied by the minimum wall thickness. For copper, annealed brass, and stainless steel AISI 304/316, the capacity is 28 x 1.5 mm. For plastic-coated Mannesmann pipes, the capacity is 30 x 1.5 mm. For multilayer pipes with a standard wall, the capacity is 32 mm. Hydraulic steel pipes (25 x 3 mm) and gas pipes (up to 3/4″) are bent with the universal roller instead of the counterformer.
