SSVH UB at a glance
The UB cylinders from the French manufacturer SSVH are designed for places where a jack has to fit into a very narrow gap. With a stroke of 15 mm, the closed height ranges from 46 mm for the 5-tonne model to 111 mm for the 220-tonne model. According to the manufacturer, they are compact, light and easy to handle, and suitable for lifting heavy components that are difficult to reach.
The piston is returned by the load, so there is no return spring, and the cylinders push in any position. The smooth piston runs in a guide and stop ring, and the cylinders are treated against seizing and corrosion. The 3/8 NPT female port carries a screw-on 3050.3 half coupler with dust cap. On request, SSVH supplies the UB with spring return, an oscillating piston head or fixing holes.
