The CBC BABY 160 at a glance
The BABY 160 butt welds pipes and fittings made of PB, PE, PP, and PVDF for drainage and sewer lines. The maximum pipe size depends on the pressure rating: up to PN 6, the machine welds pipes from 40 to 160 mm in diameter; up to PN 10, it welds pipes up to 125 mm in diameter; and up to PN 16, it welds pipes up to 110 mm in diameter.
A PS 200 TR heating plate with 800 W and double insulation provides the heat, adjustable up to 300 °C. Before welding, a mill faces the pipe ends. Its 400-watt motor runs at variable speeds from 0 to 300 rpm. The plate and mill travel on the same chrome-plated steel guide with ball bushings.
Quick-closing steel clamps with centrally snapping, interchangeable segments hold pipes, sockets, and branches. Their support swivels in 15° increments for angled joints of up to 30°. A rack with a handwheel moves the carriage and loads the pressure spring. CBC delivers the machine on a tubular frame with an accessory drawer. It also includes segments for pipes ranging from 40 to 160 mm in diameter, as well as a metal case for storing them.
