The CBC SIRIO at a glance
According to CBC, the SIRIO precisely cuts steel pipes up to 4 inches in diameter and can handle metal from 3 mm thick in straight or curved lines, as well as wood, plastic, cast iron, plaster, and concrete. The pipe clamp holds the saw in place and its lateral guides ensure a square cut. The clamp can also be used without hinging the saw.
The blade's vertical (orbital) movement is adjustable: it can be switched off completely for wood and plastic, increased step by step up to the maximum for pipes, or set in between for materials of different hardnesses. The double-insulated, 1010-watt motor runs at 2200 strokes per minute, and the die-cast aluminum body houses hardened steel gears and mechanisms.
The standard set includes the saw, a 2-inch pipe clamp, one type A blade, and a case. The set weighs 7.6 kg, and the saw alone weighs 2.7 kg. The 4" pipe clamp and additional blades are available separately.
