The CBC 440 at a glance
CBC describes the 440 as a construction site machine that threads, cuts, and deburrs metal pipes ranging from 1/4″ to 4″ GAS. It stands on a trolley with a tool cabinet, weighs 250 kg, and, with the trolley, measures 1,050 mm long by 800 mm wide by 1,220 mm high.
Two die heads cover the range: a self-opening head for pipes from 1/4″ to 2″ and a manually operated head for pipes from 2 1/2″ to 4″. The die heads run at two speeds, which are changed by a mechanical gearbox. A built-in gear pump lubricates the chasers and an oil tray collects the lubricant.
The 440 is available with either a 230 V single-phase or a 400 V three-phase motor, both of which have two speeds. A pipe cutter and deburrer for 1/4″ to 4″, as well as BSPT chasers for 1/2″–3/4″, 1″–2″, and 2 1/2″–4″, are included.
