Large formers for the UNI 60 to UNI 89

CBC's ductile iron formers are available in sizes ranging from Ø 45 mm, 1"3/4, and 1"1/2 GAS. These formers are designed for specific machine groups, with the same size available for the UNI 60 only, for the UNI 60, UNI 70/C, UNI 76, and UNI 89, as well as for the UNI 70/C, UNI 76, and UNI 89. Formers from Ø 63 mm and 2 1/2" fit the UNI 76 and 89. Sizes from Ø 80 to 90 mm and 3 1/4" and 3 1/2" only fit the UNI 89. Select the size and your machine group. The tables list the code of each former.

Like the smaller formers of types C, E, and L, they are made of spheroidal graphite iron and come with a ring and bend for hard brass, steel, stainless steel, bonderized steel, and titanium tubes. They can be used without a mandrel, with a counterformer for walls of 1–2.5 mm and with counter rollers for walls of 2.5 mm or more. For the UNI 60 and UNI 70/C, CBC uses a reinforcement tie rod for stainless steel pipes over 33 mm and other pipes over 42 mm.

For copper pipes with a diameter of 54 mm, CBC offers two of its own formers (R 162 and R 200 mm) for the UNI 60 and UNI 70/C. Formers 0001102 and 0001109 serve 3" pipes and 2 1/2" gas pipes. Former 0001109 has an R of 292 mm.

For the UNI 120, CBC makes the larger sizes on request: type C over Ø 90 mm up to Ø 114.3 mm, type E over 3″1/2 up to 4″1/2, and type L for gas pipes over 3″1/2 up to 4″.
