The UNI 89 at a glance
The UNI series' reach extends to pipes of three inches with the CBC UNI 89. Without a mandrel, it bends copper pipes and steel conduit up to 90 mm, stainless steel, hydraulic, furniture, boiler, and aluminum pipes up to 89 mm, gas pipes up to 3", and square tubes of 70 x 70 mm. Its optimum, constant bending radii leave the bent pipe free of deformation, making it ideal for plumbing and heating, shipbuilding, oil hydraulics, industrial plant construction, and ornamental metalwork.
A self-braking, two-speed, three-phase motor with 4.8 kW drives the 650-kg spheroidal cast iron machine on its steel base frame. The operator sets and monitors the bending angle on the multilingual touchscreen. Up to 50 programs, each with up to nine sequential angles, can be stored, and the machine automatically returns at the end of the stroke.
CBC supplies the UNI 89 with a quick guide positioning device, three interchangeable output shafts, a reinforcement tie rod, and a counterformer support reduction. A special former is available for the largest sizes, including 2 1/2″ GAS and 3″ WHT, with a matching counterformer. Pipes with walls over 2.5 mm are bent with the twin roller guide, which is supplied without rollers.

Bending capacity of the UNI 89
Copper pipes and steel conduit reach 90 mm on the UNI 89, while all other metal pipes reach 89 mm. Copper pipes, furniture pipes, and aluminum pipes may have walls up to 10 mm thick. Steel conduit, hydraulic pipes, and boiler pipes may have walls up to 8 mm thick. Stainless steel AISI 304/316 pipes may have walls up to 6 mm thick. Square tubes may be bent up to 70 x 70 x 5 mm.
Maximum bending angle: 180°, without mandrel.
Standard bending radii: 3D and 4D.
