The Mingori Multiplan at a glance
The Multiplan is a workshop machine designed for small- to medium-sized production runs. The manufacturer estimates an average output of 600 to 700 bends per day. The tube is drawn around the bending form using rotary draw bending and is supported on the inside by a 20 mm mandrel rod. This allows long tubes to be bent along the 2 or 3 m frame. Tooling changes quickly, which keeps production time for single parts short.
The Type 30 is manually operated with a large pull lever, and one angle stop with a vernier scale from 0 to 180° sets the bending angle. The Type 35 is motorized with a 750-watt motor and can bend 90° in 2.5 seconds. Its barrel carries four angle stops adjustable from 0 to 180° and read by two proximity sensors. The angle stops can be changed with a quarter turn of the handwheel.
The plane positioner, which is standard on the Type 35 and optional on the Type 30, shows the bending plane on a disc graduated in degrees. A ball catch engages every 15°, and for series parts, discs can be made that are drilled to the planes of the part. Four length stops on a scale-marked rail set the distances between bends. The manual machine comes with one stop on the mandrel rod.
