The CBC PL 3 and PL 3-S at a glance
CBC designed the PL 3 and PL 3-S exclusively for socket fusion welding pipes and fittings made of polypropylene (PP) and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF). The PL 3 can weld up to 50 mm, and the PL 3-S can weld up to 63 mm. Their bushes are coated with PTFE (Teflon).
Both models have a thermostat that can be set to a fixed temperature (TF, 260–285 °C) or an adjustable temperature (TR, 50–300 °C). The PL 3 draws 550 W at 230 V / 50 Hz and weighs 5.5 kg; the PL 3-S draws 1000 W and weighs 6.5 kg.
CBC supplies the welders in a metal case with a stand for benchtop or floor use, as well as wrenches for fixing the bushes. The PL 3 comes with bushes for 20-, 25-, and 32-mm pipes, and the PL 3-S comes with bushes for pipes ranging from 20 to 63 mm.
