SSVH SR.A at a glance

The SR.A is the light-alloy version of the SR range. With the same forces and strokes it weighs considerably less: the 60-tonne cylinder with 100 mm stroke, for example, weighs 18.9 kg instead of 24 kg for the steel SR. According to SSVH, this makes the cylinders much easier to handle.

A built-in spring returns the piston, which runs in a guide ring with full-load stop and wiper seal. The flat piston head is threaded and removable; the L version has a smooth piston, the S version a threaded piston with safety nut. Threaded fixing holes in the cylinder base and a screw-on 3050.3 half coupler with dust cap are standard. On request SSVH supplies an oscillating piston head, a threaded cylinder collar, a stabilising or load-spreading base plate and other forces and strokes.
