The CBC 392-L at a glance
The CBC 392-L threads metal pipes and solid bars ranging from 1/4″ to 2″ GAS. Unlike the 392-N, the 392-L's rotating head slides on recirculating ball runners. A self-centering vice clamps and feeds the workpiece coaxially into the die head. The head stroke is 270 mm.
A large oil tank holds the cooling lubricant, which circulates through a double filter in a closed circuit. Chips collect in a drawer. The control panel and protective screen are installed, and the die head bore is 70 mm. The machine weighs 175 kg, and with the optional trolley and cabinet, it is 1,300 mm high.
Version 9400080 has a 400 V three-phase motor with two speeds. It comes with a self-opening die head, a pump, and a protective screen but not chasers. BSPT dies for 1/2″–3/4″ and 1″–2″, as well as all other dies, must be ordered separately. CBC lists die heads and dies for the 392-L and 392-N together.
