The FM-ECO hand pipe threader at a glance

The CBC FM-ECO is a hand pipe threader for cutting pipe threads without a machine. An ECO threading head with its chasers sits in the ratchet with handle; for each pipe size there is a separate head. All heads of the FM-ECO sets cut a BSPT right-hand thread.

CBC offers the FM-ECO in seven sets, from three heads for 1/2″ to 1″ up to seven heads for 3/8″ to 2″. Sets with heads up to 1″1/4 come with the 1″1/4 ratchet and a 1″1/4 metal case; as soon as the 1″1/2 and 2″ heads are included, the set contains the 2″ ratchet and the larger 2″ case. The complete set 3/8″–2″ weighs 13.7 kg.

According to CBC, the ECO heads up to 1″1/4 including their chasers also fit the portable threading machine CBC 114 MINI. The F2-E portable machine works with the ECO heads from 1/2″ to 2″. Single heads in BSPT and NPT are available as accessories.
